For Sale: Diego is a stunning 2009 Palomino 17hh RPSI gelding imported from Germany. With his golden coat, long legs, big gaits, 4 white socks and blaze, this gelding is a true eye-catcher! He has three above average gaits with an excellent elasticity and fluidity to the way that he moves. He is soft in the hand, going quietly in a soft snaffle and is light and go-ey off soft leg. His gaits are large, rhythmical and fluid. He is a naturally forward thinking horse that enjoys working. He is schooling Third Level with changes, half steps and pirouette work. He has a lovely temperament and is very sweet and easy to handle in the barn and quiet on turnout. He has tight clean unblemished legs and great feet and is just normally shod in front. No vices, lameness issues or maintenance required to keep him sound and he has had the same owner since he was imported from Germany at 3 years of age.

Diego's sire Dartagnan (Duntroon x Figaro) completed his 100 day stallion testing as Vice Champion with an impressive index of 133. There are multiple Advanced Level dressage horses sired by Dartagnan including the internationally successful paradressage horse Don Turner. Dartagnan is sired by the Grand Prix dressage stallion Duntroon (Donnerhall x Pik Bube I) who has also sired multiple advanced level dressage horses.

Diego's dam Mary Lou gets their unique coloring from her sire Metallic Dream one of the only fully licensed German breeding stallions of color and through her dam line the influential jumper blood of Lugano I. Diego's maternal sister For Mary is the dam of US Olympian McLain Ward's internationally successful Grand Prix show jumper Contagious! His pedigree is versatile and athletic and no doubt where he gets his excellent canter mechanic from.
