1.10m-1.15m schoolmaster with a heart of gold and a sense of humour

2004 selle francais gelding
Showed 1.45m in GCL in Europe before I bought him. He has done the 1.20m-1.25m in Canada with me. He’s brave and keen, and he will always jump…. Unfortunately I have tried this point more times than I should have. If he’s in a bad spot, he will still jump, he just might have the rail.
I am looking for a home where he can step down but still be in a program. He would happily teach a young person the ropes at 1.10m-1.15m for years to come.
He is sound and healthy, however I do a lot of supportive things that I hope could continue. I both PEMF and Bemer him, he has a body work lady and I do put magnet hock boots on him every morning before I show, and ice his legs every day after. Does he need these things? Maybe not, but I believe in supportive therapy when they work hard, so that is what he knows. I will send his hock boots with him.
I have a full set of current X-rays and he has “age appropriate” arthritis. These X-rays will be made available to any serious buyer. He does have his hocks done twice a year in a prophylactic capacity. Trying to prolong his career as long as possible.
He’s a bit lazy on the flat, needs a good leg and likely at least a small spur. But he’s straight through his body, has excellent lateral work, is extremely supple and will collect off an educated seat alone. I have done dressage clinics and worked through all of the weird European quirks.
He’s a saint, for real. Always shows up for his rider. Literally game for everything. Accidentally put him in a derby class and made him jump a massive log, he didn’t even blink. Letting him go is causing me alot of anxiety…. But he has more to offer someone. He would keep jumping for me, I know he would…. But I can’t ask him for more than he is giving, doesn’t feel right.
So the kicker is this…. I do want real money for him despite his age. I know what he’s worth to me. And if there is literally no one willing to pay that price, he will just stick around and he can be my daughters horse in a couple years. I would also consider a PAID lease if he was going into a program I respected. He would need to insured though with me as the beneficiary.

Will be at tbird sept 22-26 if someone wants to sit on him.

Rosenol Performance Horses

My name is Lana Smith and I am the owner/operator of Rosenol Performance Horses, a full service boarding/training facility in Northern BC, where we breed and raise warmblood performance horses. Most of these horses go onto be jumpers but occasionally there is a hunter or dressage type horse as well. They are raised on a family farm and handled daily. They are bred for type AND temperment and most are even suitable for amateurs even at a young age. A great home is always our first priority as we love each and everyone of our horses!! :)
