Indie is a quality foundation sporhorse KWPN mare by SirSinclair/ Fruehling/ Fruehlingstraum).
Indie is as sweet as they come. She has a super mind paired with 3 good gaits and natural suspension. Everyone who handles or is around this mare falls in love with her. She has an in-your-pocket personality, who wants to “love-on” the people around her. Her rideability and willingness was easily seen at her first schooling dressage show where she earned 75.4% at Training Level and 86.3% at Intro Level, earning 8.5 for gaits, 9 for impulsion, 8.5 for submission, 9 for her walk, and 10 for her final square halt.
She has been under saddle since Summer/Fall 2018 and improves every ride. She is Training Level dressage and schooling lateral work. Indie is light to the leg without being hot, has good impulsion and rhythm, and is light in the contact with a good connection. Super fun to ride. She is in professional training and a favorite in the barn.
She has been to a few shows, clinics, trails, etc. She shows she has the ability to soak in her environment and go to work. She has always been a joy off property, despite her low miles. She has been ponied from other horses to build confidence on trail, and after only a few sessions, she was ridden on trail and lead the way, on a loose rein, even on a road. She is curious and likes to explore. Even in situations where she's not sure about something, she's not the bolting/bucking type. She'll listen and try her best as she learns. Her foundation is being built correctly. Her new owner will be sure to see this mare blossom. She is destined for success. Both dam and sire are upper level horses, attesting to the rideability offered in this mare.
Sir Sinclair (Lord Sinclair/Flemmingh) is one of the most prolific sires of FEI dressage horses worldwide. He was ranked #1 Dressage Sire by the USEF for five consecutive years, 2105-2019. KWPN worldwide statistics show that in terms of the number of progeny and the number competing at Z-level or higher THE MOST successful stallion is Sir Sinclair with 21.9% of his progeny ranking at Z1 or higher”, based upon the KWPN comparison of 552 licensed Dressage stallions with approximately 12,000 KWPN offspring competing. WBSFH statistics show that progeny in the Flemming line, which includes stallion Sir Sinclair have the 3rd highest number of progeny competing at the Z1-level or higher“.
Indie's dam, Feeling, is by the stallion Fruhling (by Fruhlingstraum II) is one of four stallion used as founder stallions for the Westfalen Warmblood Verband. The Westfalen Studbook is the second largest breeding organization in Germany, with a 100-plus-year breeding tradition, which is focused on proven mare lines and the incorporation of the best stallions into their breeding programs.
Fruhlingstraum II is so prolific, his progeny cannot be listed here.
Indie's full brother, Donovan, was offered to be purchased by a well known Olympic Event rider. This same trainer has been interested in Indie too.
Indie is forgiving and has had several different riders ride her with no problem, including amateur riders. She offers a smaller body size for a wider range of riders. Taller riders fit her well too. (Rider in pictures and video is 5’9”)
