Incredible Opportunity - both parents 1.6M International Jumpers, and Grand Prix Dressage Sire.
Professionally trained his entire life, amateur friendly! Passport, registered and branded.
Bred by Hillside H Ranch. Laudo is a strikingly handsome gelding that is a fantastic addition to any barn. This guy has loads of show experience up to the 1.00m hunters and jumpers, room and talent for more!
His floaty movement and rhythmic trot and canter make him a wonderful 3-ring candidate and his effortless natural carriage make him an absolute treat to hack and jump.
Amazingly well schooled on the flat, auto changes, leg yields etc. He has all the buttons and requires zero show prep! Same horse on or off property with even greater focus in the ring, he loves his job and always has a wonderful positive expression on his face.
Laudo has been to multiple show grounds including Spruce Meadows and RMSJ.
Dam: Porta Westfalica
She was shown in Germany prior to being imported and has an extensive show record as a jumper, showing and winning at venues such as Spruce Meadows. Porta Westfalica's sire is the legendary Westfalen stallion Polydor. Polydor was approved in 1974 and stood at the Westfalian state stud until his death in 1999. His offspring at the top of the sport are too numerous to mention them all, but they include the following:
Michael Whitaker’s Two Steps, WBFSH Horse of the Year 1994/95. Jan Tops had La Silla, while Bert Romp rode Burg’s Pretty Woman. Beat Mändli rode Positano to team silver at the Sydney Olympics. In 2006, Pilgrim jumped successfully with Bjorn Nagel, while Sören Pedersen enjoyed success with Polly. Pontifex with Lutz Gripshöver as well as the Libero H mare, Libertina, out of a Polydor mare, who has been a superstar with Jessica Kürten. The black stallion, Potsdam continues to attract mares at the State Stud in Warendorf. There are very few direct Polydor daughters around today, so Porta Westfalica is a treasure indeed. Porta Westfalica's damline is also one of the most import and and influential Thoroughbred lines in all of Germany (family 5-h). This family has an excellent reputation of producing riding horses for all disciplines in a very consistent manner. The super stallion Heraldik xx has a line to this family. In addition this line has produced many stallion sons used in Germany for sport horse breeding. There have also been countless FEI level horses produced by this line, including Marcus Ehning's Anka 191, L'Espoir (Ludger Beerbaum), Waldi (Aaron Vale) as well as several upper level eventers and dressage horses. Porta Westfalica's tail female line is very, very special, indeed!
Sire: Lagoheider
Lagoheidor( Landadel/Godehard/Furioso) was bred by Gerd Sosath & initially stood stud in Germany at Glock Stallion Station in Baden Wuerttemberg, before standing stud in the Netherlands at the well known Dekstation de Havikerwaard. In the Netherlands, Lagoheidor was show jumping Champion at Arnhem in 1996 with Dutch jumping rider Roelof Brill as well as Champion stallion at Arnhem in 1998 with dressage rider Edward Gal, against heavy competition that included Lord Liberty G, Lancet, Bonheur, & Garibaldi. Lagoheidor was also champion of his stallion performance test in Germany, in 1995, receiving the incredible score of "10" for his jumping ability and his stadium jumping. Lagoheidor is one of 4 full brothers that have achieved success at the highest levels of sport; his full brothers are Landor S, Landwerder and Laertes. Lagoheidor is the rare stallion that has performed at both high level jumping as well as high level dressage. His main career focus was FEI level dressage, successfully showing and winning to Grand Prix. He has also produced successful offspring in both sports and he has offspring that are on the FEI WBFSH World Ranking List in Dressage AND in Jumping. In addition to Lagoheidor's MANY successful dressage offspring he has many offspring competing at all levels of show-jumping. While too numerous to name them all, a few include L Graffin DDH, competing at CSI, Penny Lane, top placings at CSI at 1.40m, Baloubetta du Soleil (Balou du Rouet/Lagoheidor), placings at CSI** competitions including Mainz & winning at CHIO Rotterdam, Dark Charly, 2002 Mecklenburg stallion with placings at CSI** level, 1.30 m also ranked in the top 50 successful competition horses of all Mecklenburger horses in 2008. There are many, many other Lagoheidor offspring moving up the jumping levels, winning and placing in European youngster classes, M level jumping and S level jumping. Lagoheidor also has produced two approved stallion sons in addition to regional and national foal champions in Europe including a Ciacomo/Lagoheidor colt who received a score of 9.30 and was the highest scoring foal of all the jumping AND dressage foals in August 5, 2012, at the largest foal show in Southern Germany, where 140 foals were presented at the well known breeding station Gestuet Birkhoff.
