Maximus WF (or Max as he’s known in the barn) is a charming, brave, people oriented colt in a buckskin jacket. Max is well handled and sensible for most things (exceptional for a yearling) and happily explores new spaces and objects. He has voluntarily sought out poles and obstacles from day 1 - so we feel he is truly multi talented with a bright future. He was born on 4/13/21. Max is quite tall and substantial - it is our feeling that he will be well over 16.1 hands. He is working on things like standing in the wash rack for a bath, leading quietly towards and away from his dam and friends. He is extremely well mannered for grooming, the farrier and thinks the vet is just another friendly face to tell him how handsome he is!

Max is currently being backed and learning more grown up horse things at Mane Line Stables LLC. The report is that he loves being a working horse and all that goes with it. A recommendation is in for him to show on the line and that is his target market. He is currently lunging with tack on and should have a rider up in the next few days (11/3/23).
December update - he’s home for a bit to grow and enjoy some down time. Scoop him up before he goes back to work and showing!

Max is inspected/registered/microchipped Westphalian and scored well - in spite of being in an awkward growth stage at 5 months. He is over 16 hands and still growing, Max is well behaved for the vet, farrier, grooming and handling. He loads easily and is well mannered at new locations.

His sire Milky Way is an imported German Riding Pony stallion standing in Canada and working his way up the levels in dressage - while being safe for children to compete in the Pony Tests and jump all while being a busy breeding stallion!
His dam Windrose WF is by the Grand Prix dressage stallion Waldaire who is known for his consistent and steady work ethic. Windrose’s mareline carries quite a bit of size which was a factor in choosing Milky Way for her first foal.
