Romeo is the grandson of Rubinstein, and like his grandsire, he is willing to please and with his puppy dog personality he is easy to love. He is currently training 2nd level dressage, and has shown 1st with scores in the mid-upper 60's% Best suited for an adult amateur or junior who enjoys more time out than in the ring. Loves to hack out alone or with company and has several paper-chases under his belt.
He makes a great babysitter for young horses in the field or the ring. Romeo is a giant teddybear who has awesome ground manners, especially for the vet, farrier, and dentist.
He is worrisome over fences making him not a jumping candidate. A blessing in disguise, while trying he jumping ability, he started to present training issues (heavy in the hand, rooting in the contact.) Fortunately, at the time his owner was working for New Bolton who offered diagnostics at no cost. Because of this opportunty, it was discovered that he had mild spurs in the wither. Hence his discomfort over fences! Very insignificant, this would not be presentable on a lamesness exam, only x-rays. X-rays and report are available.
He is a self loader and travels well.
Romeo has been with the same owner since he was 4 years old and sadly offered for sale due to her grad school commitments.
