Hi! I’m looking for a 16+hh dressage horse to lease. The horse does not have to be trained high, but a friendly personality and quality gaits are important. I do have some experience under my belt and I am willing to ride younger and (somewhat) spookier horses if they are fairly cooperative and polite. I would like a horse that gets along with others and can be around (but not ridden by) young children. I’ve ridden many different kinds of horses, but right now I am on a 16.3hh Dutch Warmblood trained to First Level with lead changes, as he competed in Hunters for some time before becoming a Dressage horse. He has large gaits and can be a bit strong, but I’ve learned to half halt and stretch him for suppleness and bend. Capable of being shown at 2'6+ .. Hoping not to go over 10k. Will consider a TB, but would prefer warmblood, oldenburg, etc. No stallions. Will look at both geldings and mares.

We are looking for a forever horse for our family. We have our own horse property in Orange County with 2 stalls and 2 pastures. We do lots of trail riding and our daughter also likes to compete at local shows in jumpers, jumping 3'3". We work with a lovely, knowledgeable trainer for shows and have years of horse experience. ISO CALM STEADY SAFE HONEST Dressage Partner. I had to retire my steady eddie and am looking for my new friend. I am a competent rider, but can become timid and anxious on a horse who is hot, spooky, or tense. I am looking for a horse that is safe, sane, comfortable to sit on when cold, forgiving and honest (I am still learning the dressage finesse in my contact with the bit and may be tense in my seat and knees at times - he must not care about that). He must have a sensible mind. A horse I can learn from and have fun with, so they need to be trained, forward and willing. I do want to compete on occasion, but will not be out there every weekend. A horse that has a been there done that temperament away from home is a must. I have a full time demanding job, so getting 4 rides in a week is a treat. If the horse requires constant working, it's not a match. I want to be able to load my horse up in the trailer and meet friends out on the trail on a random Thursday night without worry. I want a horse that is bored if an ATV or biker goes by....I do not want to be afraid to go to the buckle. And most of all, I want an in your pocket horse that I can have fun with and love on. Calm, Steady, loving, sensible, honest - no buck, rear, spook, too hot or bolt..... Horse will be in excellent care facility and under the guidance of a professional trainer. He will want for nothing. I'm looking to buy a horse 5 to 9 years old, perfect health and steady temperament. 16 to 17.2 hands in height. I'm an ADULT AMATEUR (with many years of riding experience) AND NEED A HORSE I CAN TRUST, NOT SPOOKY OR TOO FAST BUT WILLING AND NOT LAZY. WOULD LIKE TO JUMP AT SHOWS 2 OR 3 LEVEL, SOME DRESSAGE AS WELL AND TAKE THE HORSE ON THE TRAIL SOMETIMES, MAYBE EVEN SET UP CROSS COUNTRY ON MY PROPERTY. We just bought a farm near klamath falls, Oregon and would like to find a horse at nearby states. I like Hanoverians, Holsteiners or oldeburgs for example, no Thoroughbreds.

I am currently looking for a horse to lease. Must be available for off farm lease. I have been riding for 15+ years. I have experience in dressage and hunter/jumper. I would prefer a horse trained in dressage but I would be willing to put in the work with a green horse under the supervision of a well known trainer. I would like to begin showing this season to start towards my bronze medal. I am 6'2" so I am looking for a taller warmblood that would take up my leg.
