I am an amateur Dressage rider consistently taking weekly lessons and participating in clinics in the East Bay Area of Northern California.
I currently lease a 16.1hh Hanoverian mare at a barn with excellent facilities and top trainers.
I have owned horses in the "single" years of my childhood and college years, and now that my children are starting to leave the nest, I'm back to horses, full swing! Prior, I rode/showed 4-H, performed in rodeo drill teams, worked as a barn manager, and started colts at Cal Poly, SLO. I am also a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind, training basic obedience and foundational skills through positive reinforcement training.
I am starting the search for my own future dressage partner and heart horse. Please let me know if you have a good match for me!
Dream List Priorities:
- PRE or Andalusian cross
- Modern dressage sport type, athletic, forward, excellent movement/elastic gaits/flashy, high rideability
- 100% Sound
- Balanced conformation
- 3 to 8 years old Filly/Mare
- Strong legs and healthy hooves; can go barefoot as needed
- Height: 15.3-16 hh + (ideal)
- Sweet and agreeable disposition and temperament
- Has been handled
- Regular health and hoof care
- Good mind. Calm, confident and curious. Not "hot."
- Versatile pure or crossbreed
- Besides dressage for overall fitness and some competition, I am interested in working equitation, drill team, volunteer mounted trail or event staff, short and long distance trail riding, horse camping, equine-assisted therapy work.
- Colors: not as important, but I like dark bay and black

Seeking mature fox/field hunter. 16+ good home likely my last mount. Gelding preferred and green is ok.
I am looking for a dressage horse to move up the levels with. Horse must be SAFE and SOUND. I would like something with a good understanding of the basics, at a minimum schooling solid training level. Minimum age 5, and no stallions. Open to any breed as long as the individual horse has potential to move up the levels. I would strongly prefer something on the northeastern US, definitely no imports. Budget 15k, but I am also open to discussing a care lease.
My focus has been dressage for the past several years. I have competed at first level and have schooled second. This horse would be absolutely pampered and loved to the maximum. We will be in a program with an FEI trainer whom I have worked with for several years. The horse will receive 10 star care and absolutely nothing but the best.
Please feel free to reach out if you have anything that might be a fit. I am also happy to connect you with my trainer if you have any questions.

I am a 65 year old woman, returning to riding after about 30 years out of the saddle. My husband and I have bought a very nice Morgan gelding who rides and drives. We are taking driving lessons and I am taking riding lessons. We are looking for a companion to him that is a well-trained dressage pony. Want 14-15 or so hands tall. Our boy is dressage trained to training/1st level. Looking for something trained through 2nd level or so. I would like to show and have a horse that can quickly take me to 1st/2nd level. Could be a retired horse, but not too old. Our boy is 10 years old.
