Schoolmaster needing a kid and a soft landing?
Date Placed:
Breed Wanted:
Any

My 12 yo daughter lost her horse she grew up with to a freak accident a while ago.

She used to want to ride dressage but is giving up after this loss. Id love to find a partner for her to continue her love. We are heartbroken at the loss of our family member we raised from a baby.

I would love for her to not give up riding due to this loss. Looking for a schoolmaster who need a soft landing and retirement. She is under 100 pounds, but a good little rider.

Looking for a horse that would love a kid doting on them. Forever home guaranteed with multiple references available. Old is OK and desirable. Safe, sound and proven pass record is important.

She is riding about 1st level. We have a 50 acre farm and a forever home. Perfect for a retirement plan. She may want to show once a month and ride a couple time a week. Easy living for an old guy. Just putting out there.

Thank you.

Email me is best.

Lease Horse Wanted
Date Placed:
Breed Wanted:
Any

Hi! I’m looking for a 16+hh dressage horse to lease. The horse does not have to be trained high, but a friendly personality and quality gaits are important. I do have some experience under my belt and I am willing to ride younger and (somewhat) spookier horses if they are fairly cooperative and polite. I would like a horse that gets along with others and can be around (but not ridden by) young children. I’ve ridden many different kinds of horses, but right now I am on a 16.3hh Dutch Warmblood trained to First Level with lead changes, as he competed in Hunters for some time before becoming a Dressage horse. He has large gaits and can be a bit strong, but I’ve learned to half halt and stretch him for suppleness and bend. Please contact me if you have a horse that you are looking to have leased to the Atlanta area.

ISO safe, steady, event/dressage partner
Date Placed:
Breed Wanted:

ISO safe, calm, steady partner. I am "borrowing" language from a previous posters add bc it fits me so perfectly: I am a competent rider, but can become timid and anxious on a horse who is hot, spooky, or tense. I am looking for a horse that is safe, sane, comfortable to sit on, forgiving and honest (I am still learning dressage collection/contact and may be tense in my seat and knees at times - he must not care about that). He must have a sensible mind. A horse I can learn from and have fun with, so they need to be trained, forward and willing. I do want to compete on occasion, but will not be out there every weekend. A horse that has a been there done that temperament away from home is a must. I have a full time demanding job, so getting 4 rides in a week is a treat. If the horse requires constant working, it's not a match. I want to be able to load my horse up in the trailer and meet friends out on the trail on a random Thursday night without worry. I want a horse that is bored if an ATV or biker goes by....I do not want to be afraid to go to the buckle. Finally, the perfect match has schooled cross country--ditches, banks, water...don't plan on ever going beyond beginner novice...and enjoys jumping a stadium course, ground poles, and cavaletti work. A solid foundation in groundwork is also a plus. Budget is low 5 figures. I don't have a problem with maintenance as long as the horse is sound for work. Horse will be in an excellent small facility surrounded by dirt roads, trails, a cross country course, and indoor arena. Stalls have run-outs, daily turn-out. I also work closely with a dressage trainer. 15.2-16.0 hands, gelding.

Looking for my next all round partner
Date Placed:
Breed Wanted:

I've started my search for my next horse, I am 16 and been riding for 7 years. I have only ever leased and finally decided to start the search for my own. Any breed and any color but would like the horse to be 16.0hh+ also 4-10 yrs old. Currently jumping 2' would like a horse to be able to take me higher and build my confidence, the horse won't only be used for jumping but some dressage and occasional trail rides would like the horse to be brave, smart, and forward thinking. I'm not looking to just have the horse for a couple years and sell it, will be with me not going to say forever because things can happen, but plan on it. Price range is anywhere in the 4 figures but can go to 10k. Located in Tennessee would prefer to stay in the east coast region of the U.S. but will consider if not on east coast.
