Born 5/12--very modern, athletic, tall, handsome and flashy, flashy, flashy!! This super moving and special colt will be ready to go to a new home soon; weaning by 10/15. Lumiere is a very healthy, leggy, colt who comes complete with all of the look at me chrome. Evenly matched front and hind sock on his straight and correct legs. This baby can really move. He should become quite the jumper, or even a dressage horse. He has a super mind and is quite athletic.
His pedigree is very solid, deep in Holsteiner lines and ccontains "L", "S" and both "C" lines. He has foundation blood pretty close, as his dam sire and dam grand sire were all used as older sires. His pedigree should be quite compatible with almost any Holsteiner pedigree, particularly with the prevalence of CordelaBreyere "C" line in the States.
He is a super friendly colt who wants attention from everyone. He's brave about everything--including water, mud, cats, dogs, four-wheelers-- I don't think this one will be spooky! He is very good about new things and places. He is respectful, halter broken and picks up all of his feet.
He is not going to approvals this fall due to lack of proximity, but I have had him looked at by the American AHHA judge. She loved him--said he would definitely be premium. She is willing to talk to anyone about him.
Windarra, dam (also for sale and in foal to Cunningham) is a 16.3h premium Holsteiner mare. She is by Calme'(E) who is by Calypso I, by CordelaBreyere. Calme(E) was the first Holsteiner stallion in the US to produce an apporved son. He now has many standing in the US. He is particularly known for producing great dams, jumpers and dressage horses. His offspring have performed in grand prix dressage and jumping and in world cup four-in-hand driving.
Windarra's dam-sire is Solid Silver, from the famous S-line of Silbersee. Solid silver was known to produce very successful hunters. Windarra's dam, Freestyle, was packing kids around (and winning) 2-6 hunter courses at 22 years old.
Windarra has not been ridden due to an injury at an early age but has successful full siblings competing in the jumper arena.
Sire, Limoncello II is by the international Dressage stallion Lorentin I. His mother, Arina, by Capitol is a most important dam. She is also the mother of Lasino who has produced international show horses. From the stallion book of the Holsteiner Verband "The last years have shown that today Ladykiller x Cottage Son have succeeded in establishing themselves over the generations. It is because of that remarkably good heritage that we have access to a stallion like Limoncello II. Limoncello II has a super jump and and is an outstanding mover. Limoncello II has an approved son, Le Toquet, standing at the Holsteiner Verband.
PLease ask any questions. I bred and raised his dam Windarra, so I know her history. I am flexible on terms; I can provide payment plans, foal raising, on-going board, etc., for the right buyer.
Don't let this special colt pass you by!!
