Adele was a superstar at her first show. She settled right in and was perfectly behaved. Ridden by a 16 year old girl who had only ridden her a couple times before the show, she placed 2nd and 3rd in the 2'3' and 2'6" hunters. Adele is a very careful and brave jumper; not at all spooky. She is a sweet heart on the ground and everyone loves her:)
At 15.3 1/2", she is the perfect size for the smaller adult or for the children's hunters. She is very responsive to her rider and can either go with a very relaxed attitude or rev up a bit for a more challenging course. Even for her size she has plenty of scope and speed and could be shown in the 1.2 meter classes quite easily.
We are retiring from breeding and this is a great opportunity for someone to purchase a horse with international quality bloodlines and superb athleticism at a great price! Not only that, but when she retires she can go back to producing fantastic foals.
Adele is a premium 48 pt mare, imported from the famous Thamling farm in Germany. Scoring 8's for willingness and scope and a 9 for technique in her free jumping and an 8 for her trot at her approvals, she passes these qualities on to her foals.
Adele has produced three foals. Her 2015 foal Cisco T sold with less than 6 months under saddle to a young amateur as a hunter jumper for $30,000. He could easily have sold as a dressage horse with his excellent gaits. Her 2017 foal, Lazlo T is equally exceptional. He was the Region 4 USDF Reserve Champion as an immature yearling, beating out older more mature horses! Adele's 2012 foal Eva T unfortunately suffered a broken pelvis in a pasture accident as a yearling and never competed. However, Eva produced a beautiful black premium colt Calvin T by the Holsteiner stallion Connor that sold for $16,000 as a long yearling. Calvin was the Reserve Champion 4 yr old eventing prospect in California in 2019. He blew away the competition in the free jumping!
Adele is an easy breeder, easy keeper and a great mother. She was bred exclusively with frozen semen and took on the first or second cycle each time.
Adele is by Clarimo, Rolf Goren Bengstons current Grand Prix competitor. Clarimo has racked up numerous international Grand Prix wins and placings. He is an outstanding producer and has countless offspring competing in Europe.
Adele's dam Gladiole is from the famous breeding farm of Soenke Thamling, who produced numerous international superstars including Eurocommerce Montreal who placed 4th individually at the Madrid Olympics. Gladiole's son Quite Calypso placed third in jumping at the Bundeschampionat as a youngster and was sold to an amateur rider in Canada. After showing Soenke a video of Adele from her approvals, he told me he wished he hadn't sold her!
