This seven year old pure Spanish gelding is looking for a new partner to tango with. Both keen and calm Alesandro is a grandson of the legendary PRE stallion Gaucho III - a Grand Prix competitor and the first PRE stallion to rank in the USEF Leading Dressage Sires. Alesandro’s gaits are expressive and correct while still smooth and easy for an amateur rider to sit with. He moves forward readily without tension, finds lateral work easy and can extend his stride with ground cover. Alesandro is a quick study yet forgiving in nature, allowing for his rider to learn along with him. Currently Alesandro is solid in all of the first level work, much of second level and also has been introduced to the half pass both at trot and canter.
On the ground and in the stable Alesandro is vice free and pleasant to work around. He is pastured with other horses, is an easy keeper, and is also used to being stalled. He travels well and has attended numerous clinics and a few shows. Last year he accompanied a nervous Arabian to Sport Horse Nationals for a week of exposure to the busy atmosphere of a national level show. Alesandro was remarkably calm and levelheaded. He did his job of keeping his stablemate happy and also had the benefit of working in busy warm up situations in many different arenas for a full week.
Price reflects desire to find just the right partner for this special horse. He is sound with corrective shoeing and some maintenance. He is willing and able to work but looking for someone that won’t push him to the highest levels of competition.
