Amabelle is a stunning filly with a soft feminine eye and enjoys being groomed and fussed over. She has an extraordinary canter that is balanced, free through the shoulder and floats naturally. Amabelle has solid bone and and a great disposition-as noted by the inspectors at her recent GOV inspection when she was awarded PREMIUM status. You only need to look at her to see the quality of her pedigree coming through. I fully expect her to excel in the hunter ring with her lovely movement and type, maybe even show her on the line while you are waiting for her to grow up. Her sweet personality is just starting to come through and she is extremely inquisitive and brave, like her dam. She looks like she will finish large, likely in the 16.3 range.

This filly is the total package and as fancy as they come with her beautiful face, strong top line, free shoulder, floating trot and top class pedigree!

Her sire, Apiro, is a son of the legendary Argentinus, who for an amazing 7 years led the FN statistics of his age group for the prize money earned by his progeny with offspring competing at the international levels in both dressage and jumping. Argentinus was STALLION of the YEAR in 2005! A successful advanced level showjumper himself, Argentinus, was renowned for passing on his willing temperament to his offspring. Apiro's first North American foal crop is enjoying success in the hunter and jumper rings. He is producing talented, amateur friendly horses and is greatly improving scope in gaits and jump.

Retton (Rosenthal/WeltKlasse/Weltmeyer), Amabelle's dam, is a lovely Premium awarded GOV mare by the phenomenal 2003 USDF stallion of the year, Rosenthal. Her dam is by Welt Klasse, who is by the "Stallion of the Century" Weltmeyer.

Retton's sire, Rosenthal, is listed as the #2 HUNTER BREEDING SIRE OF 2013 and has also just been named as the #1 HUNTER BREEDING SIRE OF 2016!!

Under saddle Retton is forward, steady, and has natural rhythm. She is quick to learn, and although she has been infrequently ridden, she takes to new experiences in stride. She has been trail riding through the coastal mountains of Northern California and ridden out onto the beach, she has stayed out on overnight trips and will trailer in to any facility and get to work with out any fuss. She will lead or follow and is bold and inquisitive. She has a very sweet and pleasing personality and she has generously passed these desirable qualities onto her filly

Amabelle has a very small amount of clouding in her left eye that is a result of a congenital hamartoma, it was repaired surgically and will not pose an issue in the future.
