Apollo of Tamarack Ranch Sport is a stunning 11 yr old Friesian gelding standing 15.3 hands. Sired by Mintse 384 out of a Tsjerk 328 daughter. He has 3 great paces, a super work ethic and tries hard to please. He would make a great schoolmaster for a serious/competitive junior/young rider or an adult amateur rider.

He has an extensive and very successful show record from Training level through to Prix St. George. This year was his first year showing PSG. We went to 2 gold shows and obtained scores in the 60’s earning 2 scores towards Apollo’s Sport Elite Predicate with FHANA. He was champion at both shows. In 2018 Apollo competed at 4th level winning either champion or reserve champion at the 4 gold shows he competed in. He was awarded Equine Canada’s Horse of the Year award at 4th level as well as Cadora champion at 4th level. In 2017 he was shown by my 8 year old daughter at training level. In 2016 he was champion at 3rd level in all his outings in the EC gold shows in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He was reserve champion at 3rd level in the CADORA awards program only behind my coach. He also obtained his Sport Predicate with FHANA in his first 2 shows. 2015 was very successful in second level with many Championships and Freestyle Championships. He was been awarded the very prestigious FHANA Dressage Performance Award for 2015. Also won Cadora award for Second Level and Silver award for horse and rider through Equine Canada. As well, one of the recipients of the Lauren Dilanni Freestyle award through Equine Canada.
Apollo is schooling I1 movements along with half steps. I am an adult amateur rider who is only able to get coaching on a monthly basis during the spring to fall months. This is my first year ever riding PSG as well. Apollo has the potential to go much further with a more knowledgeable FEI rider.

He has very good conformation, straight legs and excellent feet. He is a pleasure to work with and a solid campaigner. He is personable, easy to handle, has impeccable manners, is great for the farrier, bathing, clipping and hauling. He is not herd bound and is good with other horses.
