Ascot, shown here as a 2 year old, is a very handsome 2009 Oldenburg gelding with lots of presence. As well as getting a Premium award from the Oldenburg Verband as a foal, Ascot also received a - Foal of Distinction - award at the Oldenburg inspection. Ascot is very well put together with a beautiful head. Ascot is athletic, has lovely gaits, and a scopey jump. Ascot is a good size, (16.1hh Fall 2011) and should mature between 16.2 to 16.3 hh. Ascot has a charming personality, loves attention and is very good to work with.

Ascot's dam, the registered Oldenburg mare Ravenna (Raven) was inspected and approved into the Main Mare Books of both the Hanoverian Verband and the Oldenburg Verband. Raven is by the imported Oldenburg stallion, Radjah Z (by Ramiro Z) and out of Frangelica ( Fernet Branca by Furioso II). Radjah Z placed 6th out of 73 at his stallion testing in Medingen, Germany. He has produced 3 approved sons, one of which, Rangoon, won the stallion testing in Warendorf, Germany. Radjah Z is also the sire of the very successful Ragtime Joe and Olympic individual show jumping finalist, Premier Cru.

Ascot's sire the approved Hanoverian stallion, Autocrat, was imported from the Celle State Stud, Germany. His oldest offspring turned 5 yrs old in 2010. He sired the 2010 USDF Horse of the Year Materiale 4 or 5 yr old mare, 2 Toronto Royal Governor General's Cup Reserve Champions (2008 & 2010), 2010 Toronto Royal 5th place horse in the Lieutenant Governor's Cup, Provincial Hunter Champions, Provincial Dressage Champions, and Hack Champions.
Ascot can be boarded at Crooked Creek Farm for a very reasonable rate until ready to be started.
