3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: Athena! This beautiful almost five year old, 16.2hh Morgan/Belgian cross mare is just a wonderful all-around horse. She is a stunning rare red/blood bay, with one white sock and black flowing mane and tail. While a naughty pasture mate did chew her lovely tail a bit (which is still growing back), she is otherwise built very well with good confirmation and an uphill shoulder. Clean attractive legs with very good feet. Athena is currently barefoot in full work. Despite being a solid draft horse, she uses herself well, being quite sporty and light on her feet! And she can easily be registered as an American Warmblood.

Athena was sourced by our client to be a project and sales horse directly from her breeder. Brought along thoughtfully and correctly, Athena is really developing into an incredible riding horse. She goes Western and English, already having a great walk, trot, and canter under saddle. Goes happily in just a plain snaffle! Has fantastic brakes and a lovely work ethic. Tons of trail riding mileage already, unfazed by working out in the open. Loves to hop over natural obstacles, including water, logs, and anything you need to pop over. Happy to lead or follow, or head out on solo adventures. In addition, Athena comes with driving mileage from earning her keep working on a farm. She could easily carry on as a driving horse tomorrow. Recently started free jumping and jumping under saddle and really enjoys her new job! We think her calling might be out fox hunting or even low level eventing. With a fantastic brain, Athena is also incredibly bombproof for her young age. Very safe, easygoing, and quiet, but with a pleasant forward button. She has a very old soul feel about her. And Athena will be going on her first fox hunt in October!

Athena is also a pleasure to have in any barn. Just a loving, sweetheart of a horse. Enjoys attention and grooming. Stands nicely on the cross ties. Perfect for the vet, farrier, and dentist. Loads right up for any adventures on the trailer. Stands quietly at the mounting block. Great for a bath, spa day, or photo shoot. Great in turnout with other horses. Athena is the same horse, day after day, whether working every day or having a few days off. Perfect ground manners. Super easy keeper. No vices and no prep needed. Great inside or out. Happy stalled or out twenty-four seven. Up to date on everything, including vaccines, coggins, dental, and deworming. Nothing bothers this horse. Her current farm even has some low hanging power lines that produce a loud humming sound and she could care less! No buck. No bolt. No spook. No funny business. Just a kind and forgiving horse that would really make dreams come true!

Athena is looking to find her own person that would love to have a safe and talented all-around horse for many adventures! Eventing, fox hunting, trail riding, you name, Athena would love it.
