** PRICE REDUCED ** This sweet, affectionate mare is by In Petto out of a Friedsfuerst Mare. Known as Ava around the barn, she has already been a world traveler, with her FEI Passport, since she was imported from Germany to Canada, in utero, and then brought to beautiful Colorado when she was 4.

Ava is such a trusting, affectionate friend in the barn, and away from home. You can see in her video how relaxed and tuned in she is to her owner, and easy to bath, easy to clip, easy to braid… and she loves to have her cuddle time and her face hugged before you put on her bridle!

Under saddle she has three clear, consistent, correct gaits that are super comfortable to sit! Ava is a horse that is nicely connected to her rider’s seat aids, and has a polite, steady connection. She is easy to extend and collect, and while she is not a textbook schoolmaster, she is easy to fire up with a professional and tone down with her Adult Amateur owner. While this video shows a quiet empty arena, most evenings Ava is ridden with little kids jumping and doing cartwheels around a busy barn, while a well- known horse vaulting program in progress.

She loves to go on hacks with friends and has jumped some jumps for fun. Ava loooooooves her bran mashes at the end of her rides, and is an adorable messy eater licking her lips and enjoying her delicious treat!

Ava’s owner fell in love with her as a 4 year old, when she herself was only 14 years old. Her owner has done most of the riding and training herself, and has success showing up through Third Level, and impressive success qualifying and competing at Dressage Seat Medal Finals at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Illinois.

This is a very special horse who has been well-loved by her owner and family. Her owner’s dream was to bring her up through the levels of dressage, breed her and have a foal and to be Ava’s forever home; however her owner is now in graduate school, works full time, and has just purchased a home. Michaela has made the difficult decision that it’s best for Ava to continue enjoying consistent love, training and fun adventures with a owner with a less busy schedule.
