Bellwether is bred for dressage and has a wonderful attitude. She was backed last fall and left to finish growing over the winter. This mare is straightforward, easy to handle, good for the farrier. Clean legs, barefoot, and no vices. Bellwether started back to some light work this spring and has been an absolute delight. Willing and easy, her gaits are expressive but balanced. Great form over a free jump fence. Trots and canters over a pole. This mare is confident and kind, always willing to work, she has yet to put a foot wrong in her training.
Quiet enough to be a superb hunter prospect. She possesses a natural balance and rhythm and is soft in the contact. Correct and expressive gaits, balance and willingness, Bellwether could also be a talented dressage prospect.
The dam line has produced several amateur friendly hunter and dressage horses. Fun, safe and talented. The sire, Borsalino, was the outstanding winner of the 2014 Westphalian licensing in Munster. This stallion is known for his elasticity and strong hindquarter. Bellwether is true to her lines, Bred for sport and for temperament and rideability.
