Introducing Blood Ruler RPR aka Drakkar.

Drakkar is turning 3 in June 2025. He currently stands over 16:2 and should finish close to 17 hands. He has substantial bones, good feet, beautiful movement and most importantly, a fantastic disposition. He is calm but does not mind displaying impressive speed and agility while out playing with his friends in pasture.

Drakkar's sire is Toftergaardens Codex, a 17 hands Knabstrupper stallion imported from Denmark and one of the very few of his breed competing at the FEI level in North America. Codex is known for siring substantial foals with beautiful movement.

Drakkar's dam is Clear Opportunity, a 16:1 hands Bold Executive daughter who evented successfully for a few years before retiring to my broodmare band. Known as Moonlight, she was presented and approved with Westfalen which allowed Drakkar to get his KNN passport.

Speaking of KNN, Drakkar started his show career with a bang. Presented at his KNN foal inspection in the fall of 2022, he scored a phenomenal 8.8, tying for the highest score in the world in a crop of nearly 100 foals. After this impressive accomplishment, he spent two years in a field with a few friends to grow, mature and learn a few manners from older mares. Once in a while, I would take him out to play with with him in the round pen or take him for a in-hand walk in the woods. He is very confident when leaving the herd and will walk quietly over wooden bridges/logs, through mud/water or difficult terrain.

Things got a bit more serious for him a few weeks ago when he left home to spend two months with a professional trainer. I am very careful not to physically push young horses too soon so for this year, the goal for him was to improve his stable manners, learn how to ground drive, stand calmly at the mounting block, get sat on and be ridden around at a quiet walk with a bit of steering and most importantly, stop quietly when asked to. So far, he passed all these goals with flying colors. At the end of June, he will go back to the field to hang with the herd until next year.

I think Drakkar would be a good fit a rider looking to clean up at the Amateur level. His movement is fancy enough for dressage but he is chill enough for the hunter world. When I see him confidently blaze around the fields, I immediately think eventing so who knows? My trainer would be happy to discuss his potential with anyone interested.
