His sire Califax is an athletic, powerful and scopey stallion--an impressive looker with perfect jumping technique. In fact, Califax is a genuine textbook example of a Holsteiner. Julio Mariner xx has an excellent track record in the Netherlands for producing international show jumpers such as Eurocommerce Lima/Gerco Schröder, Dinky Toy/Michael Whitaker and Resolute/Molly Ashe. Riant, who competed in the 2003 World Championship for Young Dressage Horses, is also in the pedigree as Califax’s maternal grandsire. This direct combination of magnificent Calido and thoroughbred blood gives Califax the perfect prerequisites to breed modern-type performance jumpers.
