Callie is a 5y/o bay Thoroughbred mare that has been off the track and in training for almost two years. She has a slow stride and a smooth, beautiful, honest jump, perfect for hunters, tons of scope to progress in the show ring. Very brave, Callie has both show and trail experience, and has shown and placed in the 3' green hunter and young hunter classes. She hauls well, stands good for the farrier and vet. She is quite mellow overall and does not require lunging at home. However she needs more show experience and can be spooky in the show ring, not at the jumps themselves, but just at the whole environment. She is somewhat of a packer at home, but needs an experienced rider who will not be intimidated at the shows. i do not have the time to bring her along in the show ring, and her greatly reduced price reflects her need for experience in that area. She can be quite fancy and jumps slow and correct when properly prepared, placing well. I would give her a 3 for temperament at home, and a 7 or 8 at the shows. She is a very high quality horse for this price.
