Capri can't help but be a fancy and "in your pocket" type filly. She will steal your heart as soon as you meet her with her special mix of gentle affection and sassy spirit! Capri has a extremely feminine face and that strong "Contucci" top line, she posses 3 lovely gaits that will get you noticed in the ring. A free walk, loose and balanced trot and a uphill canter. She is the absolute best of both her dam and her sire and with her pleasing temperament and excellent conformation she will be exciting to watch as she grows.
Her sire, Contucci, won the dressage portion of his 100-Day Test with an impressive 147.11 points, earning six 9’s and overall Class I status. He then successfully showed in Germany, winning a Bundeschampionate qualifier with 9.2 out of 10 possible points. After his importation to the US, Contucci was trained through the FEI levels and always offered a wonderful rideability that we see consistently passed to his offspring. Contucci was named the 2005 USEF Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year and 2009 USEF Dressage Sire of the Year. His offspring are successfully winning at Breed Shows and Dressage Shows from Training through Grand Prix with amateur, junior, and professional riders. Contucci is an excellent choice to sire FEI horses for both professionals and amateurs!
Capri's dam, Point of Grace (Pointmaker/Prinz Gaylord), is the epitome of grace, and suites her name perfectly. She is a large bodied and classic style Hanoverian who is a joy to handle and is extremely level headed. Unfortunately Grace is no longer riding sound, but she will give me the occasional glimpse of her very lovely and balanced canter - when she is trying to keep up with a newborn foal! She is a gentle and affectionate mother and she generously and consistently passes her pleasing disposition onto her foals. Grace also is known to produces size and I expect Capri to finish around 16.3 Grace's sire is the upper level dressage stallion, Pointmaker (Pik Bube) who has been competed successfully by David Ventura up to intermediare 1.
