Carbondale’s French Connection, aka “Frenchie” is by French Kiss (Florestan I, Donnerhall) out of Hope (Hohenstein, Rubinstein I). She was bred in Germany and imported as a two year old by Carbondale Farms. In 2007, Frenchie was awarded Premium Broodmare status by the German Oldenburg Verband. She was given one of the HIGHEST scores awarded to a mare for the entire 2007 GOV United States inspection tour. Her impressive scores were an 8.5 for impulsion and elasticity (trot), an 8.5 for overall general impression and development and an 8 for overall evaluation. The jury used comments such as “Outstanding Mare” and “Premium Mare – A Highest Quality” on her score sheet. Currently, Frenchie is schooling second and third level and has shown locally. At her very first show she placed first and scored an 8 on her overall gaits. Frenchie also shows talent over fences and is amateur friendly with no vices.
