Caspian FLS, "Tater", is a Hanoverian gelding by Checkmate and out of a mare by Escudo I. He is a compact, sporty type with strong jumping bloodlines. At his inspection, Tater was praised for his type and overall impression. He has a strong presence and should excel competitively in jumpers or hunters. He is expected to mature to approx 16+ hands. **Please note that the dam shown in the video is a recipient mare and not Tater's dam**
Tater's dam, Elegant, completed her Mare Performance Test for AHS where she received an overall final score of 7.36, boasting a score of 8.5 for Jumping Ability and 8's for both Jumping Technique and Rideability. In 2014, Elegant competed in rated jumper shows, ranging from 1.0m - 1.15m. In the winter of 2014 she was also invited to participate in the first Sarasota Modern Pentathlon World Cup.
Tater's sire, Checkmate, completed his 70 day test at Silver Creek Farm in OK, USA. He had a very good test, finishing 3rd overall in the jumping with a score of 121.18. Checkmate`s sire is the Oldenburg stallion Check In. In 2005, Check In became the OS Reserve Champion Stallion. He finished his 30 day test in Redefin with a final score of 9.08 with emphasis on jumping. He was awarded the I-b premium in 2007, won a Bundeschampionat qualifier with a score of 9.2 in 2008 and has meanwhile collected ribbons in the international Youngster Tour. Check In's sire Cordalmé Z, was a top performance horse and sire, winning Nations Prizes with Gilbert Böckmann. Check In's dam Ilonka (sire Lord Pezi) competed in the 2005 Bundeschampionat Final and was ridden to many victories in show jumping up to advanced level.
