Catalan is a 16.2 hand 2001 registered and branded Hanoverian gelding sired by Hilltop Farm's standout stallion, Contucci, out of an elite Hanoverian mare (Wenzel I). Contucci was the 2009 USDF Dressage Sire of the Year. Catalan had a year of professional dressage training at Hilltop, and has an excellent flatwork foundation. He has been started over fences, and is currently jumping around 2'6"-3' courses with a lead change, and loves his new job! Catalan has a TON of movement-sweepy shoulder and nice suspension, and a good brain-eager to learn and easily trainable. He hacks out XC, is super brave, and has excellent ground manners.
