Kate is a purebred connemara yearling filly bay going grey.
She is from very strong performance lines. Her dam successfully competed at the gold level open division in dressage. Her grandam *Eastlands Glendearg, a premium mare,was awarded the ACPS "Connemara of the Year" award in 2002. She was shown at the gold level open division and trillium circuit finishing her year with champion titles. She also represented Canada in FEI pony division and was Reserve Champion in 2002.
Her sire, Kippure Cara is a registered Sport Pony and competes in eventing and driving. In 2009 he was titled the North American Sport Pony Star Search Challenge Champion. In 2010 he competed in combined driving and did extremely well. At his first eventing show of he was placed first in his division with a score of 68% in dressage. In 2011 he was named Champion of breed show in Vermont and was a recipient of numerous trophies including the versatility award.
Kate is a very pretty filly and has inherited a number of her dams and sires great traits. She is a very pretty mover, light on her feet and nicely balanced with good strong gaits. She is a very lovable, friendly and outgoing filly very easy to handle and not difficult. She has excellent barn manners ~ x ties, clips, baths, stands for farrier. Kate is an excellent candidate as a performance pony for the dressage or hunter ring.
