Corteo W5 - Beaulieu's Quissini - Dobel's Cento
Bay (may become grey) Westfalen filly
DOB July 14th 2024
Cérès QTM is a well-bred filly with a curious nature and a lively, energetic disposition. She moves with balanced and uphill gaits. With her natural athleticism, Cérès has a promising future as a hunter/jumper prospect. However, watching her confidently jump through a puddle without hesitation made us think she could have serious eventing potential, too. Her pedigree includes the well-known Cardento, For Pleasure, Quidam de Revel, Cassini I, Dobel's Cento, Accord II and Pilot! She is also gentle, easy to handle, and accustomed to basic handling. Cérès enjoys being around people, always curious and seeking interaction. This filly should mature around 16.2h.
Her sire, Corteo W5, is a breathtaking buckskin Swedish Warmblood stallion. This young horse has a playful personality, a great conformation, as well as balanced and elastic gaits. In 2022, Corteo was presented to the Westfalen inspection and fulfilled the requirements to obtain his provisional license (Stud Book I)! He was described as having a good type, good length of stride, and a balanced canter. Over the jumps, he is clever and shows an excellent bascule.
Corteo's sire, Cyklon 1083, is an internationally proven competitor and a direct son of Olympic Cardento. Cyklon 1083 retired to stud in 2019 with 29 career FEI wins.
Cérès' dam, Beaulieu's Quadrella Girl, is a good frame mare who possess a a lovely temperament as well as exuberant and elastic gaits. While she always been a broodmare, her full sister, Que Sera, is competing in the 1.30m jumper ring in Wellington. This horse is often a barn favourite due to her sweet nature.
Quadrella's sire, Beaulieu Quissini, is a well-bred stallion by the famous Quidam de Revel out a of dam by Cassini I. Quissini is a larger frame stallion who possess strong gaits, an excellent jumping technique, plenty of scope and a sweet temperament he tends to pass on. Quissini has produced several proven jumping, dressage, eventing and amateur friendly horses.
Cérès' second dam, Copacabana, is a daughter of the famous Dobel's Cento. The Capitol son, Cento is one of the great competitor stallions and the most successful competitor by Capitol. Cento won the World Cup Final at Leipzig in 2002, as well as the ‘big two’ Grand Prix – Aachen and Calgary. He won team gold at the Sydney Games, and bronze at Athens. This stallion earned over one million euros during his career.
Cérès' third dam, Beaulieu's Simply the Best, is by Acord II. The Ahorn Z son, Acord II won his performance test in 1991, scoring 9.5 to 10 for showjumping, and 9 to 9.67 for rideability. His overall score was 146.04 scoring 138.26 in dressage and 148.47 in jumping. He went on to the 1992 Bundeschampionate in Verden ridden by Thomas Mohr, where he was reserve champion.
