Cavalry Forge Sporthorses, LLC presents Finnegan “Finn. This colt is all you want and desire in an up and coming Knabstrupper Sporthorse cross. He has a great brain, floating gaits and sturdy conformation to go in any direction whether dressage, jumping or eventing.
We could tell immediately from foaling that Finn would be very special. He is impeccably balanced and proportioned. His long, elegant legs show incredibly strength and agility. He has a short and properly portioned head, well defined throatlatch with smart and kind eyes. His neck is beautifully arched at the crest and sits uphill at the shoulders. His shoulders are strong, wide, and sloping. His gaits are fluid and elegant. He is bold and never backs away from a new environment. He is already well-muscled for a youngster with an impeccable topline from head to tail.
His walk is straight, springy and with reaching steps. He has incredible power in his hindquarters and brings his hindlegs well under his body. His trot is floating and elevated with great suspension. Finnegan has been cantering around the pasture in a beautifully rounded frame since he was a couple weeks old. Powerful yet graceful, this guy will go far in whatever direction you point him in. The thoroughbred horse on his dam side, has added a touch of refinement, grace and athleticism and will provide him the endurance needed in some of the more strenuous disciplines.
Finnegan will be weaned in the fall (October 2020) from his Dam, and will be ready to go. He has already started his halter training, willing picks up his feet, and stands well for all handling from head to tail.
We expect Finnegan to finish right around 16.2. His dam is 16.1 and sire was 16.3. Finnegan’s pedigree can be viewed here:
Finnegan is a suppressed Knabstrupper with two white socks on opposite legs. One sock has black markings above the coronet band. He has a white mark on his right hindquarter and his face features a half moon star, a narrow snip on his nose and white and pink markings on his lips. We expect him to lighten in color and even display black or dark bay markings as he matures.
