Calvados Z (ChellanoZ) Filly Offered

We just finished working with this filly on the lunge line for the first time in her life. She has got that down pat. We are so pleased with her mind every time we show her something new you see her analyse the situation and move foreword. OUTSTANDING!
Cinnamon Twist is a big correct substantial 2 year old by one of the worlds show jumping greats who we lost much too early. The sensational jumper and Zangersheide stallion Calvados Z won the
world title for 5-yr-old showjumping horses in
2006 at the WC for young horses in Lanaken,
ridden by Roelof Bril. This makes Calvados Z the
most successful son of his early deceased sire
Chellano Z. In the pedigree of Calvados Z we find
an accumulation of first class Holsteiner
showjumping blood. His sire Chellano Z is a
product of the great sire Contender out of a full
sister to the famous sport- and breeding stallion
Corrado I. On his dam’s side Calvados Z carries
the valuable jumping genes of Holsteiner lineage
162 via the Olympic jumping stallion Carthago Z
which we also know as sire of the international showjumping horses Cycarlos L Z, Cassiano Z, Calina Z, Cim Cristo, Candy, Caloma Z, Kira, Caya and Spiga. Grandam Astara carries the sport blood of the mare Dorette (family 18b1) via her son Farn. In combination with Carthago Z Astara also produced the SBSlicensed stallion Casmir Z. In the fourth remove showjumping horse begetter Miller’s Grey xx adds the required dash of thoroughbred blood to the pedigree of Calvados Z. Same Dutch mares line also produced the Grand Prix showjumping horse Bollvorm’s Barber (Symfonie) ridden by Roelof Bril.

Cinnamon is by the double Landgraf mare Louisianna approved by Studbook Zangersheide and Canadian Warmblood Registries

Thelma & Louise Sport Horses

Why Thelma and Louise? It began in July of 2011. As most breeders will testify, it's not always easy to get a mare in foal. Heather ("Louise") met Deb ("Thelma") over a mare that didn't take. Heather is a veterinarian, and Deb is a small breeder with a focus on performance horses, both Western and Sporthorse. That summer she had a warmblood mare to be bred, and was referred to Buffalo Head Vet Clinic for help getting her in foal. There she met Heather ("Louise"), owner and veterinarian at the clinic and also a warmblood breeder with a lot of experience. Very quickly a kindred friendship developed between Deb and Heather. "We soon started watching hours of stallion presentations in preparation for the breeding season." They saw a resemblance between themselves and the women of the movie Thelma and Louise. "Soon the road trips started," making an even stronger parallel with the road-trip bonding of Thelma and Louise in the movie. They went to Boston together to attend a breeders seminar, and noticed how well they operated as a team—and how memorable. Ask the attendees whether they remember the duo from Canada! Since "Thelma and Louise" shared the same breeding ethics and similar backgrounds, the idea of combining resources was a natural, and Thelma and Louise Sport Horses was born.
