Pidge is a flashy 2014 blanketed bay filly. N/N for the 5-panel and JEB1/JEB2 through parental testing. She is registered with ASHDA and carries founding lines through her sire, Harley's Classic O.
She string tests to 17H, currently 16+H and has all the foundation work in place to be an exceptional equine citizen who would excel in a variety of disciplines. This not-so little lady has been handled daily since birth and is a lovely, sensible girl with an excellent brain between her ears. Currently living at a medium sized boarding facility she has been turned out with a variety of other horses and gets along with everyone. Extremely tidy in a stall, with no vices, she is often still snoozing in the morning and frequently requires coaxing to wake up (there is comical moaning and groaning involved). Pidge has been hauled (trailered) to an assortment of local organized trail rides and ponied regularly since she was born, originally from her dam and more recently from an older gelding. She has crossed water, bridges and been exposed to all manner of loud farm equipment and animals (video of trailer loading and water crossing).
Pidge was started undersaddle in January 2017, and has now completed extensive trail miles and done a moderate amount of arena work. She still has lots of growing to do and has only cantered undersaddle on a handful of occasions since she is still very uncoordinated due to her size and the slower maturation of draft breeds. More whoa than go. Very little bothers her and she would be suitable for a novice rider with an experienced trainer. Pidge has been worked at liberty extensively (age appropriate), long lined and trick trained. Pidge appeared repeatedly as a foal model in Equus and Horse Illustrated, most recently May 2016 edition of Equus. Her sire, Sugarbush Harley's Classic O, has represented the breed for the past 4 years at BreyerFest and he also has his NAWD Star in Western Dressage and is a multiple VA State Fair Champion both in Halter and under saddle. He was a 2016 year end Top 5 finalist on both the local and national western dressage circuits.
Her dam, Brooks (St. George's Zombie Magic - last picture) is a sharp, athletic powerhouse and currently schooling for Beginner Novice Eventing, in addition to completing weekly trail miles. Pidge is a heavier boned, similarly sensible, and athletic version of her dam. She would be equally lovely pulling a carriage or incredibly striking as a field hunter with her bold color and impressive size. Current on all vaccinations and happily barefoot with a regular trims. More pictures, video and info available upon request.
