2011 GREY Holsteiner colt born end of June. TOP UPPER LEVEL JUMPER PROSPECT by German Verband Holsteiner stallion Cassiano (Cassini I/Calypso II/Maestoso xx) out of the imported C-line Holsteiner mare Obsession TW (Canaletto/Carthago Z/Renomee Z).

Clue is an adorable, correct, grey, athletic Holsteiner bred to be a top jumper. He has a superb topline, and super canter. We expect him to jump at the very highest levels, yet be rideable enough for an amateur. He should finish around 16.1 or 16.2..

Sire Cassiano (first picture), is one of the Verbands top young sires. He is one of 4 international GP showjumpers out of the mare Zivia (Calypso/Maestose xx) and of the four, three are approved stallions, and the other is the Olympic horse Chim Christo. Cassiano’s sire is the great Cassini I, himself a son of the legendary Capitol I, and sire of over 40 approved stallions. A Cassiano 4 year old gelding just sold at the Elite Sport Horse auction in Neumunster for 70,000 Euros. Cassiano has also sired the approved Verband stallion, Cassito, and Casciendo, the AHHA approved stallion.

His dam, Obsession, was imported to be a high Amateur Owner jumper but an injury on the plane prevented her from showing. She is a careful, scopey jumper, with an excellent hind end and with great adjustability. She is by the stallion Canaletto (aka Candaletto) who showed internationally with an amateur rider and out of a 49 bonit mare by the great Carthago Z, who competed in 2 Olympics. Obsession also produced a filly by Quidam de Revel, who was retained as a broodmare and has produced 2 exceptional offspring in Europe.
