Colbourne is an exceptionally well-bred, versatile colt who loves to gallop around with athleticism and ease. His maternal siblings are found either competing I-1 in the dressage ring or taking home ribbons at Thunderbird Show Park. He is super personable and has an excellent hind leg coupled with freedom of the shoulder. Your perfect hunter/jumper/eventer partner!!
He will be weaned in October/November 2022 and ready to go to his new home. Price includes board through weaning and registration with CWHBA.

Sire: Cartell (Capone 1 x Sundown Blue Northern)
Cartell is a beautiful, licensed CWHBA stallion sired by the illustrious, international Grand Prix show jumper stallion Capone 1 (Contender x Ladalco). Cartell is out of an Arabian eventing mare. Cartell himself has competed successfully at Thunderbird Show Park and done cross country with his rider. Cartell’s foals have been awarded premium with Holsteiner Verband.

Dam: Redhawk’s Picoletta [Pik’s Pride (Pik Noir) x Rohdiamant x Weltmeyer]
Picoletta is an Oldenburg Premium Foal Award mare who retired early in her promising riding career due to an injury. Her filly by Sir Donnerhall 1, Redhawk’s Slipstream, is an elite Oldenburg mare who now competes at I-1. Slipstream was named Champion Maiden mare at the California Dressage Society / Region 7 Breed Show Championships with a score of 84.75%. Picoletta’s foals by Capone 1 have successfully shown in international rings and consistently constitute amateur friendly temperaments. One of them, Carino has winnings at Thunderbird. Another, Chance, is taking home ribbons in the dressage ring with scores in the 70s and high remarks from the judges, qualifying her for the provincial championships.

Dam Sire: Pik’s Pride [Pik Noir (Pik Bube 1) X Barsoi xx X Deichvogt X Absatz]
Pik’s Pride is a 1996 Oldenburg stallion that was imported to the United States. He competed at Grand Prix dressage level with Jennifer Hoffmann. He carries both royal Hanoverian blood through Pik Bube 1 and Absatz along with thoroughbred blood through Barsoi xx. While standing in Germany, Barsoi xx produced 9 approved stallions with others competing at Grand Prix.

Grand Dam: Royal Dream (Rohdiamant x Weltmeyer x Agronom)
Picoletta’s dam, Royal Dream, was imported from Europe to the United States as a weanling after she was awarded Champion Filly in Germany. Royal Dream comes from a long line of Hanoverian state premium mares. Royal Dream’s foals have all been super successful competitors in the dressage/jumper rings and highly awarded at Oldenburg inspections (stallion prospects, foals of distinctions, and premiums). Specifically, her son, Redhawk’s Smooth Jazz (by Samarant) competed I-1 at the Del Mar National with Jo Moran.
