Crownview's Royal Eclipse aka "Okra"

With only a few weeks under saddle so far, Okra is showing plenty of ability and progress already. Forward thinking, ground covering gaits, and a willingness to work are just a few of his positive attributes.

Okra currently stands about 17h, is a true black, and is ready to find his dance partner who will develop him into his potential. He is very inquisitive by nature, good to the aids, and is already quite naturally balanced in his way of going. He hacks out alone or in company, and is just as happy in the arena as he is to go out for a nice forward canter around the field!

He is by Jameson RS2, a wildly successful stallion who has a number of championships to his name from the start of his career, including winning the Pavo Cup as a 5 year old, his performance test with KWPN, and several stallion competitions. He is known to be an honest, sensible stallion with a good work ethic and a positive attitude, and he certainly has passed that on to Okra.

Hi dam is Lunar Eclipse, a KWPN mare by the outstanding sire Grand Galaxy Win. He was described by the breeding committee at his approval as being a "masculine, long-legged stallion with a lovely, open frame. His movements are powerful, roomy and supple with great self-carriage." He had plenty of success in his competition career as well before being retired due to injury. Okra certainly inherited all the best from his damsire as well, showing many similarities.
