Cuhullen PFH is our 2024 Contefino X Calido Holsteiner colt born 19 May. He will be dark bay and will likely hit 16.3. His build is forward and uphill and relatively compact for his size, more of a sports car vs a limousine. he is an elegant mover with a purposeful stride and an elastic canter. His personality is confident and sociable; he is the pack leader of our squad of three colts but is not aggressive. Cuhullen's pedigree is strongly biased towards showjumping. his sire, Contefino was a Grand Prix (1.60) jumper whose jumping ability has been described as "freakish," which he definitely passes on to his get. His damsire, Calido, was for years a leading sport horse sire in Europe, with dozens of approved sons and innumerable off spring who were top level competitors, including 3 who were in the 2008 Olympics. His damline has produced a 1.60 jumper, Nils Holgersson, who competed in Russia. Coincidentally, both of Cuhullen's parents come from the farm of Harms Hansen in Holstein. Cuhullen is the 5th horse of this cross and all have been, like him, good looking, very athletic, intelligent, and very rideable.

At his foal inspection, the judges were very impressed with his conformation, movement and personality. His presence earned him high marks of 9 for type and 7 for movement. The judges said they hoped to see him as a stallion candidate in a few years!
