Dacapria BHS “Capri” is a 3 year old dark bay US bred Hanoverian mare by Dacaprio out of a Hohenstein mare. She currently stands at 16H and will likely finish at 16.1H. I started her under saddle early this spring for about 6 weeks and she has spent the summer continuing to grow and mature. She has been back in work for about 1.5 months with me and is coming along beautifully. Capri was incredibly easy and willing to start under saddle and has not once said “no” or offered any vices. She is solid walk, trot, and canter with a lovely balance and springy trot that will be easy to sit. She picks up her canter leads and has started leg yields. She’s confident under saddle and does not seem to exhibit any spooky behavior. I believe her temperament and rideability make her an excellent candidate for a capable amateur or even a junior in a program. She would also be an extremely easy professional ride to bring up the levels. Her quality gaits, willingness to train, and even temperament make her a definite candidate for FEI dressage. Her pedigree boasts several influential dressage stallions such as Donnerhall and Caprimond and her excellent temperament and rideability makes her a fantastic and desirable addition to any breeding program as well. Capri has lovely conformation and has not had any lameness or other health issues in her history. She is up to date on all vaccines, farrier, and dental care.
