May 2nd, 2024 Darby Dulcilena (Nilena/Diamont/Burggraaf) gave us a gorgeous colt by Monterey (Morricone/Donnerhall/Diamond Hit). Monticello, or "Mo" already shows a very sensible, friendly demeanor and has a strong grasp on his early ground manners. He scored Premium foal at his Oldenburg inspection and received a lot of positive comments throughout the day. He would make an excellent partner for someone looking for a high-level hunter or dressage prospect!

The dam, Darby Dulcilena, was Premium Foal as well as Foal of Distinction at her GOV inspection and all her foals have been named Premium Foal at their own GOV inspection. Her dam sire Diamont ranked 1st among Hanoverian stallions and 2nd among all breed stallions in producing dressage horses by the USDF. Darby has done everything from dressage and eventing to hunters. She is very sweet and sensible and has excellent rhythm and cadence.

The sire, Monterey, was named Premium Stallion at his 2018 Oldenburg inspection. He comes from many successful lines including his sire, Morricone, who was named Oldenburg Champion Stallion in 2014, and his dam sire, the trademark Sir Donnerhall I. Monterey is known for his amazing gaits and rideability.

Darby's foals have all taken her calm and confident temperament. Her 2022 foal (by Dheputy) is already showing excellent gaits and great potential for her future in dressage. We are expecting a similar outcome from this colt.
