Despereaux is a 2018 liver chestnut registered Hanoverian gelding. He was site champion out of 15 dressage foals at his Hanoverian foal inspection. He is correct and well-balanced, but his true strength lies in his character. He is the kindest, most sensible youngster imaginable, willing to try anything you ask. He thinks before he acts and is very brave by nature. Though he is an athletic young horse, his excellent temperament will allow him to be a beloved partner for an adult amateur or child. He is currently measuring 16.1 hands and should mature 16.3 hands. He has been saddled, bridled, ponied and walked/trotted around on. Good manners, easy to have around. No vices, sound, in excellent condition and current on care. Mid-low fives.
Despereaux is by Dauphin (Donnerhall x Feiner Stern), who competed through the M level. Dauphin has sired a number of good horses, not only through the Grand Prix level in dressage, but also eventers and jumpers. Dauphin is known for throwing character and rideability. He was a favorite at the Celle stud due to his good nature.
Despereaux’s dam, Fantastica (Fantastico x Werbefunk) showed through the third level in dressage before becoming a lesson horse, so Despereaux’s good nature comes from both sides!
