Negro His pedigree:
Father, “the black tyrant” Ferro is a proven stallion. He was for years the fixed power of the Dutch A team dressage. Negro’s mother comes from a top parent line, through the international stallions “Variant” and “Gondolier” (label) and the predicate rich mares’ Fewrie (preferent IBOP AA 92) Mewrie (keur pref prestatie sports) and Geerie (ster pref prestatie) stands for sport, model, strength, spirit and quality.

His achievements:
Negro is a winner of both the stallion competition in 2000 and 2001, he won the title “Young Star Stallion” (Zwolle 2001). During the 2001 World Championships in Verden Negro was the best 6-year-old KWPN.

Negro has successfully completed his small tour period. Of his four starts, he won three times. His first start in the Big Tour, he won convincingly by the score of 72.50% super debut, using his unparalleled talent for piaffe and passage showed.

Career highlights:

2012: Awarded Preferent status by the KWPN
2012: KWPN Dressage Index 150 (92%)
2011: interview Carl Hester in Horse and Hound (7 April 2011).
2010: KWPN Dressage Index: 143

2002: Prix st. George debut
2001: Zwolle stallion show champion 6 year old
2000: Zwolle stallion show champion 5 year old
1998: Reserve champion of performance test

His offspring:
Negro is high on the latest dressage index, with 150 (92%) which has satisfied the requirement for him to be awarded the KWPN’s highest honour for a stallion of “preferent”. His children are doing extremely well in the sport.

They are internationally in high demand. Negro’s offspring are widely appreciated for the great cooperative nature, inquisitiveness, hard work, and of course the trade balance of Negro No. 1: the great hind leg use, and great potential for change.

Negro’s children make a stir everywhere, with champions, approved stallions and daughters talked out in the USA, UK, Scandinavia etc..

Despite his still young age, his children are competing and winning at the highest level, including the most famous son Valegro – who was 2011 European Team Gold Medal Winner.

Also through the powerful and positive influences of his genetics, he is becoming increasingly valued as a maternal sire.

and the side mare with Fuerst Heinrich
Fürst Heinrich was well on his way to stardom before his life was sadly cut short at age 7. Awarded a Premium Stallion at the NRW Licensing in 2000, he then went on to become Champion of his Performance Test in Münster-Handorf with a Dressage score of 8.82. In 2002 he was a Main Premium winner at Oldenburg. Qualifying for the Bundeschampionship with a score of 8.5, he then competed successfully in his class and came 2nd in the Final.

As a five year old in 2003 he was crowned World Dressage Champion, with Holga Finken in the saddle.

In his short breeding career, he has produced well over 40 Licensed Stallions including many Premium stallions, Champions and Reserve Champions. At the 2004 Oldenburger Licensing, Fürst Heinrich was well represented with two sons, Van the Man and First Forez being awarded Champion and Reserve Champion respectively. The impressive list of State Premium mares sired by Fürst Heinrich is further evidence of the consistent quality being produced. The list includes Fantastica, Champion Mare of the 2005 Westphalen Elite Mare Show, Feh, 1d Premium Mare and Furstin, 1h Premium Mare, at the 2005 Rheinland Elite Mare Show. The Oldenburger Elite Mare Show in Rastede resulted in two Fürst Heinrich daughters finishing in the Brilliant Ring, 1f Premium for Gloriette and 1h Premium for Deotlinger Deern. Herzfurstin was awarded 1d Premium at the 2006 Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar Elite Mare Show, and Famagusta, 1j at the Rheinland Mare Show.

Fürst Heinrich delivered top priced auction foals from his first foal crop, and in 2006 his son, Furstenball sold for the record price of 110,000EU at the Oldenburger Foal Auction. His first foal crops produced Champion foals at regional shows and a daughter won the German Foal Champion in 2003.

Since his untimely death in 2006, Fürst Heinrich has continued his strong influence in warmblood breeding through his sons and daughters. He has a Dressage Breeding Index of 151. In 2007, the Licensed son, Froschkonig won the title of Oldenburger State Champion as a 3 year old. The NRW Licensing in 2007 saw Reserve Champion awarded to a Fürst Heinrich son, and in 2008 Fürstenball was crowned Champion of the Oldenburger Licensing.
