Diamante is a handsome 6 year old gelding with just a small bit of white on his forehead. He has been in training with Beth Beymer for 12 months, and was started under saddle at age 3.
On August 28, he was ridden in his first show, the Lightness Tournament at Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Colorado. Monty passed Level 1 "with Mastery" and did two routines to music calmly and obediently. He watched the rest of the horses go and was relaxed in the show environment. His movements are foward, his trot can easily extend or collect, his canter is smooth and balanced. He can do leg yield and shoulder in, he is very light in the reins and responsive. He is a versatile horse and could do well in a number of disciplines, such as working equitation,dressage, Western dressage Doma Vaquera, and working cattle. He is good on the trail, has no problem accepting obstacles. He ties, loads in a trailer, stands for trimming his hooves and is a very willing horse who wants to please.
