Holsteiner colt, bay (turning grey) with 4 high stockings and a big blaze! This colt not only has very nice pedigree, but is a very rare combination of unusually large size, heavy bone and modern build. He shows mature height of just over 18 hands with heavy bone and good sized feet along with an athletic, modern build. He's built to hold up to a lifetime of competing. He has the makings to be a top equitation horse, hunter or jumper.
His sire is the BWP stallion, Don Quichot. Don Quichot is an internationally competitive 16.3 hh Belgian Warmblood Stallion by Quite Easy (x Quidam de Revel) X Reina Z. He is an international level Grand Prix dressage stallion who competed all over Europe. He qualified for both the 2015 Pan Am Games and was pre-selected for the 2016 Rio Olympics. He is also from world class jumper blood lines. He is a half brother to Todd Minikus’ international jumper GP sensation Oh Star.
His Dam is the Holsteiner mare, Catie T (Lotus T x Stauffenberg). Catie is a BIG 17.2 hand jumper bred mare with heavy bone, yet a modern build. This will be a very tall colt with solid bone and feet, but with an athletic build.
Take this colt either the dressage, hunter or jumper route with his big ground covering stride, and what I'm sure will have a 10 jumping form!
