Royal is an imported Oldenburg mare with impressive bloodlines for upper level dressage or as a brood mare down the road. She is best suited for a professional or experienced young rider looking for a horse to bring up the levels; not currently suited for an amateur at this stage in her training. She shows great potential for the upper levels with 3 expressive gaits with a highlight being her ground covering walk. While Royal is not hot or explosive, she is a dominant mare type so needs a confident rider to keep her respectful, motivated, and on the aids. Sometimes slow to the leg to start and occasionally balky until she gets going...just needs a rider to be in charge and keep clear and consistent boundries. Great natural swing through her whole body. Not spooky and very sensible in new environments both undersaddle and on the ground. Very fun to ride and gives a light supple feel in the connection. She has shown training and first level and is
schooling some of second. Royal has no health or lameness issues. Very easy keeper, good to trailer, loves turnout, and has excellent feet. She is on Regumate which has made a huge difference in her attitude. Royal is a sweet and talented mare looking to find her person to bring out her full potential. Current xrays on file.
