16.2 h. 2018 Premium GOV gelding by Don Martillo (Don Juan de Hus [Jazz/Krack C] /Benneton Dream/Warkant) out of Furst
Salvation (Furst Impression/ Davignport/Prince Orac xx). Donatello is just a good boy. He comes in to the barn every day ready to work, and shows a cooperative and willing nature and good rideabilty in addition to his three good gaits. Three good gaits and a good mind get you to the FEI dressage ring, and we expect that Donatello will go all the way for his rider.
Donatello only did one breed show in 2018 as a foal at Dressage at Lexington in the Colts/Geldings of 2018 class, and was also 3rd place in the Oldenburg class
against all ages with a 78.350%.
Donatello's sire, Don Martillo was the 2016 Bundeschampion in Warendorf. “Under rider Ann-Christin Wienkamp, Don Martillo from the breeding of Axel Windeler scored a 8.5 for the trot, a 9.5 for the gallop, an 8.5 for the fulfillment of the scale of training and for type and interior a 8.0. His walk was even rated
10.0. “There is no better,” the jury said. Also the two guest riders, Stephanie Fiedler and Richard “Pico” Hannöver, were inspired by the Don Juan de Hus son and judged his rideability with 19 out of 20 points.” In the Finals he received a 9.7 for trot, 10 for walk, 9.7 for canter, 9.5 for submission and 9.8 for general impression. He totaled 9.74 points, naming him Bundeschampion of the 4 year old Stallions in 2016!
Donatella's dam, Furst Salvation is by Furst Impression (Furst Heinrich/Regazzoni/ Weltmeyer). She placed second in a large group of competitive yearlings at Dressage at Lexington in 2012 with high marks for her type, correctness, and suspension at the trot. She is now a very valued broodmare, out-producing herself every time.
