Dulcinea HVH is a lovely 2010 flaxen chestnut Hanoverian Mare with FEI dressage potential and exceptional temperament. Dulcinea comes by her dressage talent naturally via her exceptional pedigree. Her sire, DeLaurentis (DeNiro) who is well known for his character, willing temperament and exceptional gaits. Dulcinea’s dam, EM Wruffian Q (Weltbekannt) has produced numerous USA Dressage Finalists in-hand and under-saddle including Dulcinea’s half-brother Don Frederic HVH who earned two USDF Horse of the Year titles in 2013 as well as being a finalist in the USEF Young Horse Dressage Championships in 2012-2013 and numerous breed and region titles.

Dulcinea is currently just shy of 16.1H and will mature to 16.2H. She has 3 exceptional gaits that are easy-to-sit, nicely forward and delightfully sensitive to the aids. She has an exceptional mind and outstanding trainability which when coupled with her gaits and elegance will clearly make her a superior choice for an amateur rider. Dulcinea was born, raised and started at High Valley Hanoverians in the unique program “Developing Hanoverian Athletes in the Mind & the Body®. This program is known for producing quality young dressage horses with a rock-solid dressage foundation, are in super physical condition due to the combined training and mountain hill work and have an exceptional work ethic due to being truly happy in their work. Dulcinea competed in Intro and Training Level classes during the 2014 show season with scores in the 70’s. Dulcinea is well on her way to demonstrating her dressage performance potential. She is ready to go to a performance home where she will prove to be an uncomplicated and talented equine partner. Her FEI trainer coach is VERY impressed with Dulcinea and says that “she will make some AA a wonderful Grand Prix mare”. As a secondary breeding career later down the road, Dulcinea has her Hanoverian Elite Eligible status with the American Hanoverian Society and will become an Elite Mare Candidate when she is successfully shown at 2nd level or completes her Mare Performance Test. She would become an Elite Mare with the production of her first Hanoverian offspring.
