Dushay is a three-year old gelding by Dubarry out of a Shakespeare mare. He stands at 16+ hands now and we believe that he should mature to 16.3 or 17 hands. He has a calm easy manner about him. Boy is he eye-catching. He is definitely a tall, dark and handsome kind of boy. His movement is beautiful. He floats at the trot barely touches the ground. Dressage riders take note.
We have free jumped him thru the chute and he did well. He is interested and careful. Would make a very classy hunter.
With names like Donnerhall, Sandro Hit, Rubinstein I, Werther and Arrian in his background it is no wonder why his movement catches your eye.
His sire Dubarry was licensed in Verden in 2011 and did his 70-Day tested at Adelheidsdorf in 2013. He placed 4th in dressage with a score of 138. Highlights from his test were; trot 8.5, gallop 8.5, and rideability 8.5. Dubarry is a very modern black stallion with enormous freedom in his shoulders and a powerful hind leg. He is very straightforward in his character and temperament, making him very easy to ride. His sire, also jet black and of modern type, Don Frederico was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year by the German Verband. Dubarry's dam Ribana is by the famous stallion Rubinstein. Rubinstein himself is also known for exceptional temperament and rideability.
