‘Thomas’ Edison is the perfect match for someone looking for a steady, easy, and uncomplicated ride. Thomas is a 2011 Trakehner Gelding standing 16.1hh. He has been in our program since April 1 and has taken to eventing like a fish to water. He is fancy on the flat, rhythmic to show jump, and easy to take around the cross country course.

Thomas is currently eventing at Training level but has scope for more. He has a large, ground covering stride without being strong or pulling which makes him an ideal horse for someone looking to simply enjoy the ride. Thomas is not hot, spooky, or reactive. Has no buck/bolt/rear. Happy to go out for a hack alone or in company. Thomas is good to ditches, banks, and water. He is happy to stand tied to the trailer, hauls well, and loads/unloads easily with or without a buddy.

Very well schooled on the flat and easy to make round, he is a favorite with the dressage judges with scores as low as 25.

Thomas has plenty of scope to jump big jumps without ever feeling hot or hurried. He takes no special prep at shows – simply tack up and have a short warmup before you go in the ring and you’re good to go. He is the perfect mount for an AA or Junior rider.

Thomas would also excel as a dressage horse with his adjustable gaits and simple way of going.
