SIRE: Oscar
The 1996 born Oscar was bred by Gert Willem van Norel and was by Wolfgang x Nabuur x Courville xx.
Oscar was first competed by Edward Gal in the KWPN Stallion Competition and later ridden by Emmelie Scholtens, who was then based at Stable Laarakkers, a long-time working partner of Van Norel stud. He was trained up tp Prix St Georges level.
Oscar presented his first crop of foals in the autumn of 2001 and the KWPN Foal Inspection committee stated that "Oscar showed a uniform collection of well developed, well muscled, sport horse type of foals who stand well in a rectangular model. The movement and self carriage is good."

Van Norel was very enthusiastic about his home bred product: "Jazz is untouchable but in my eyes I think Oscar is right behind him," Van Norel said in 2008. "Oscar passes on his strong points: his great conformation and expression, his strong movements, his toughness and size."
