Smooch is an in your pocket, super sweet love bug who is an old soul. He is an easy keeper who self loads, clips, lunges, bathes, cross ties, and stands for vet/farrier perfectly. Extremely good ground manners. WTC under saddle. His lead changes are nearly finished and he's been jumped up to 2'-9", free jumped to 3'-9" with ease. He has a good walk with overreach, a balanced trot that is very easy to sit, and an amazing canter. His canter step is huge with a powerful hind end, and he eats up the lines with no effort. He is easy to find distances due to his cadenced canter.
He is very sensible both at home and away from home. He is ridden and shown by an Adult Amateur and is suitable for an Intermediate rider with Professional supervision. He was Reserve Champion at his first two shows in hunter divisions. He just cantered his first courses AT his third show. Just showed up and went to work. His brain is amazing.
Smooch just started jumping higher than a crossrail very recently. He has been started slowly and carefully to ensure a long healthy career.
He is by Escapade, out of a Thoroughbred mare. He is a smoky Black Rabicano. He is every inch 16.3 H barefoot.
