Live your GP dreams! Get your USDF gold medal one weekend and take him horse camping the next. 16.1 lusitano gelding turning 13 this fall. Super show record at Grand Prix with scores to 70% on his freestyle, consistent mid-60s on the GP test. Huge character and personality, crazy smart, loves to go places, show, and be the center of attention. Super safe and about as close to bombproof as an FEI horse can be (he's afraid of nothing). Easy to ride (I've been teaching my AA students on him and he's a fabulous teacher), light in the hand (he shows GP in the snaffle), easy to sit and kind to your body. Super sound (he's basically made of titanium, the only horse I have ever had at this level with basically no maintenance), and SO much fun. The best trail horse in my barn (herds cows, opens gates, leads over bridges), shown through intermediate B in working equitation, jumps small courses. Eats anything that won't eat him, inhales bananas, does amusing lip tricks in his stall, and will make you laugh every day.
Will also consider on-site lease (substantial lease fee, not a care lease) in Martinez, CA in the SF east bay.
(Yes, he really is white, and yes, he gets dirty. He also literally glows when clean for shows and he has a stunning tail. And yes, he has typical grey horse melanomas under that tail, diffuse and slowly growing-- the type he will die with and not from. When he is ready to retire-- a long time from now!-- I will take him back. I have my own small horse setup and he will always have a spot in my backyard to be a big dog).
