Star is a lovely, unique young pony mare that is the total package. She is a big, uphill & expressive mover with a brain to match. She is solidly schooling 1st level (leg yields, AMAZING canter & trot lengthening, 15m canter Circles, changes through the trot) and some of 2nd (counter canter, haunches in, shoulder in, started canter/walk/canter). She spent the last fall trail riding on river bluffs (she will gladly go through water) and will go out on the trail alone or in company. Star was shown in hand as a 2 year old and was the 2011 USDF All Breed 2 Year Old Champion for the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association. She has been to one schooling show and one USDF show (only under saddle 4mnths at the time) and NOTHING bothers her. Star is young in years but is an old soul and would be perfect for an advance beginner youth working with a trainer or smaller lady. While she may be small in height, she is big boned and big barreled and takes up your leg well (the rider picture is 5’7”). Star would also be a great addition to any broodmare herd, her pedigree sports the who’s who of the jumper world: Wellington, Nimmerdor, Alme Z, Quick Star, Galoubet A & Capital I. I also hope to get her started over fences this fall. She is super easy to clip, bath, self-loads and is great for farrier and vet. The video is from a clinic with David Whightman.
