Faust NSN (Banderas x Wanroij) has it all - correct conformation including a strong, supple back and loin connection, beautiful topline, clean and well formed large joints, great feet, as well as three good gaits, athleticism, and a super friendly personality with charisma. Faust, born June 27, 2010, was not presented for the keurings due to his young age and distance to nearest keuring. If not sold by spring, he will be gelded. Faust is expected to mature 17.1-2hh.
Faust's sire, Banderas, is a very typey athletic stallion, with a lovely expression, clearly stamped by his sire. Banderas has three very good athletic gaits, and shows a huge amount of jumping potential, he jumps in classic form, and shows a lot of scope. He also has a very good temperament and good nature. At his inspection, Banderas received very high scores for his jumping, including a 10 for scope. His first foal crop in 2010 has received great reviews from the Oldenburg inspectors.
Banderas' sire, Balou du Rouet, is highly sought after as a breeding stallion, he is very known for producing typey, elastic movers, and his oldest offspring are showing his prepotency for first class jumping ability.
Banderas comes from a very strong dam line. Through dam Grisette he combines some of the best bloodlines available. His dam sire is the legendary Grannus, one Germany's greatest sires with over five million DM in earnings. He is also the sire a multiple international and Olympic jumpers, including Top Gun La Silla(Jan Tops), Grand Plaisir(Ludger Beerbaum), Grannusch(John Witaker), Burmah Grand Slam (Nick Skelton) and Imperial to name a few. Grannus is also the sire of over 60 approved stallions.
Great Grand sire is the Elite international stallion Beach Boy. He has sired 8 graded sons who are already making a name for themselves and his own progeny includes the 1991 Oldenburg performance test champion Brandenburger, the international showjumper Beach Game and the international eventers Beach Star and Feldschwalbe.
His eight approved sons and 239 competitive offspring have earned him a BlUP score of 141 for both jumping and gaits.
Faust is the 8th produce of KWPN keur preferent mare, Never Say Never. She has produced horses competing in both dressage and jumping, including Ulysses (v. Ferro) who competed in the Young Jumper Championships in Brazil as a 5 year-old. His full sister, Zenda, also loves to jump and she demontrated her ability as Reserve Champion Young Jumper in the KWPN-NA North American tour. At six, she is now winning and placing at shows. Two daughters, one Ster and the other Prok and Keur Eligible, both KWPN-NA Top Five mares, have been incorporated into the broodband. Another son, by Idocus, is competing successfully as a jumper.
Never Say Never has spent most of her career as a broodmare. She completed her IBOP (both jumping and dressage) after already producing 3 consecutive First Premium foals, and came 5th in North America at the age of seven. Her jumping scores were no less than 8, with an 8.5 for scope and an 8 for rideability from the KWPN. Her passion has always been jumping and she passes this on. Never Say Never's progeny consistently place in the Top Five rankings of the KWPN-NA keurings. You can read more about Never Say Never, her children and grandchildren, including Faust, on my website.
Faust is ready to make someone's dream of owning an upper level jumper prospect come true. KWPN-NA registration (Reg. A) is pending.
